Richmond Times-Dispatch / Tazza Kitchen in Scott’s Addition will open in early December
Tazza Kitchen is slated to open its third Richmond area location at 1500 Roseneath Road in early December.
That’s right, Scott’s Addition food fans, in just a few short weeks the first Tazza in Richmond proper will open.
The newest location of the restaurant that specializes in wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches and more will have 135 seats, including the bar, plus a patio seating and private dining room..
“While this Tazza Kitchen will have a similar look and feel to our other spaces, it is important for each restaurant to uniquely reflect the neighborhood. We have continued to partner with many designers and artisans based in Richmond – some actually in Scott’s Addition – such as Surface Architectural Supply and Umanoff Design Lighting. Mickael Broth (the Nightowl) is working on an exterior mural for the Leigh Street side of the building. It’s very exciting to see it come together.” wrote co-owner John Haggai in a news release.
The restaurant group currently operates five Tazza Kitchens in the country, with two (and its flagship) in the Richmond area. The Short Pump store, its first, opened in 2013; the newest opened in Chesterfield County in 2015. There are also locations in Raleigh, N.C.; Columbia, S.C. and Arlington.
The Scott’s Addition Tazza will serve the same menu as its other locations — small plates, wood-fired pizzas, seafood and other entrées with a Mediterranean flair — with an emphasis on locally-sourced ingredients. And it will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
